David Beador Facing Criminal Charges for Reckless Driving 

David Beador, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star, Shannon Beador, landed in hot water with police after he was caught driving 119 MPH. 

The Newport Beach Police pulled over David, 59, on February 4 at approximately 9:15 am, per court documents obtained by Radar Online. Police officers said that the businessman was driving his 2022 Porsche 911 119 MPH in a 60 MPH zone in Newport Coast. 

On March 18, David was charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving and an additional infraction for operating a vehicle at a speed greater  than 100 miles per hour.  

David pleaded not guilty and was told by the judge to not drive without a valid driver’s license and insurance. 

His next court appearance is scheduled for April. 

David’s brush with the law came only a few months after his ex was involved in a drunk driving incident.

In September, TMZ published video footage that revealed Shannon’s car zooming around a corner, hopping a curb, and slamming into a cement planter on the front side of a Newport Beach home. She fled the scene after the crash. 

Shannon was charged with two misdemeanors, a DUI and a hit-and-run. It was later confirmed that the Bravo star blew a .24% BAC after the wreck, three times the legal limit.

The mom of three was sentenced to three years of informal probation and fined $960. She was also ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and to participate in a 9-month alcohol education program.

Shannon and David announced that they were calling it quits after being married for 17 years, in October 2017. Cameras followed the pair’s effort to save their marriage, after Shannon discovered that David had been unfaithful. The show later chronicled the fallout from their eventual split. 

They went on to battle over custody issues and whether or not David should be required to provide spousal support. David called attention to Shannon’s drinking habits, claiming in court documents that her behavior was “detrimental to the children.” 

Shannon and David share three daughters, Sophie, 23, and twins Stella and Adeline, 20.

Last summer, Shannon confirmed that there were “zero sparks” between herself and her ex-husband after they crossed paths during a June 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

The RHOC veteran laughed when asked if there were any “sparks” lingering between her and her ex. 

“Absolutely zero sparks,” Shannon bluntly replied. “For the last five years if he heard my voice on the phone with the kids, he would hang up.”
